In early December, Telltale revealed the development of a new Game of Thrones game. Telltale has become famous for their episodic games, The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, which are still actively being developed: The Walking Dead is in its second season, while The Wolf Among Us released the second episode of its first season in February. But at the same time, the company is actively developing Tale From the Borderlands, an adaptation of the Borderlands games, and the aforementioned Game of Thrones.
Telltale’s Game of Thrones will most likely be in the style of the company’s previous games: point and click adventures that have an emphasis on story. And since the December announcement, fans of A Song of Ice and Fire have been wondering when the game will take place; for instance, The Walking Dead took place concurrently with the story of the comics. And it is important to point out that Telltale has the TV series rights and not the book rights, which means the developers have inherited the changes of the show: but again, the question has always been when will the story take place?
